    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the phenomenon of the contemporary ‘Medusa tattoo’ that gained traction on the social media platform TikTok in 2019 as a symbol of sexual assault survival, and which has since come to function as an instrument for digital feminist activism. The study aspires to provide a new, previously unexplored link to the long chain of academic research on the figure of Medusa by looking at the emergence, function, and potential of the Medusa tattoo.     Sammanfattning : This essay aims to investigate the conditions of public art in a contemporary discourseanalysis based on medial sources and social networks, concerning the anonymous citizeninitiative “The Shorelinestone”, also known as the memorial monument of the indieband Broder Daniel. With Roland Barthes Semiotics and Chantal & Mouffe's Discoursetheory, I examine the articulations of different discourses in the field, forming an antagonism eventually illustrating the conditions of public art today. Post-industrialization, modernism’s top-down city planning approach, and the prioritisation of motor vehicle design over humans resulted in more people moving to cities, more space needed to allocate new vehicles, expansion over rural areas, and exponential pollution growth.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to analyze 25 fake election posters that have been put up between 2018 and 2022 in Sweden, through a narrative analysis, to gain an insight into how they displace political messages in the public space. The study is also done to gain a deeper understanding of the practice from a media activist perspective and to investigate how these practices renegotiate a traditional form of political communication.
