  1. 1. Bio-inspired approach for improving performance of information routing in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Maskinkonstruktion (Inst.)

    Författare :DAN NGUYEN; KARL HANSEN; [2018]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : As a key technology for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), vehicle-2-vehicle (V2V) communication enables the interconnection of vehicles to limit emissions, decrease congestion, increase traffic safety and much more. Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), a subset of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) is a peerto-peer network among vehicles that is utilized to route information through different forwarding algorithms. 2. 2. Parking Guidance Systems: Evaluating two parking guidance systems' impact on carbon dioxide emissions and parking time for motorists in congested parking facilities

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för datavetenskap och kommunikation (CSC)

    Författare :Fedel Gabrail; Robin Bråtfors; [2017]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Finding parking space can be difficult these days. Expensive and inconvenientparking lots oftentimes causes many motorists to chooseto park on-street which leads to traffic congestion, car emissions andfrustration. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Epiphytic lichens associated with different traffic intensities along the highway E4

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Ecology

    Författare :Chiho Okuyama; [2011]
    Nyckelord :Bioindicator; Air pollution; Species richness; Sensitivity; Recolonisation; Disappearance; Forest ecosystem;

    Sammanfattning : Inventories of epiphytic lichens on Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) were conducted at three sites in east central Sweden: along the newly build motorway (Road E4), along the old road (Road 600) and in a reference site, to compare the effects of traffic pollution on lichen diversities. At each site, species richness, lichen mean sensitivity value (MK), air quality index of the forest stand/sample plot (LKI) and nitrogen impact value (N) were calculated and it was tested if there was any difference between the sites.
