  1. 1. Integrating Waste Heat from Hydrogen Production Into District Heating

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Fawzi Kayali; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hydrogen; Electrolysis; Waste Heat Recovery; Combined Heat and Power Plant; District Heating; Simulation; Sustainable Heating Systems; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this research is to explore the feasibility of the integration of waste heat from electrolyzers within a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant and district heating (DH) network and suggest a practical setup for integration. With the escalating emphasis on the development of green hydrogen through electrolysis powered by renewable energy, a substantial amount of waste heat is generated, typically left unused. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Operational Strategy Optimization of Distributed Energy System Based on MATLAB : A case study in Northeast China

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Yujun Han; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Distributed Energy System; CCHP; operational strategy; Distribuerat energisystem; CCHP; operativ strategi;

    Sammanfattning : China is the largest energy consumer worldwide, with a fast-growing rate. But the energy and environmental problems brought by its unbalanced energy structure and low energy efficiency restrict the sustainable development of China. The Distributed Energy System (DES) is one of the internationally recognized solutions to the problems. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Methodology for Designing Bespoke Air Handling Units

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energiteknik

    Författare :Alexandra Malysheva; [2023]
    Nyckelord :bespoke air handling unit; evaporative cooling system; two-stage crossflow heat exchanger; 3D-modeling; platsbyggt luftbehandlingsaggregat; evaporativt kylsystem; tvåstegs motströmsvärmeväxlare; 3D-modeling;

    Sammanfattning : This master's thesis explores the role of bespoke air handling units in enhancing energy efficiency in existing buildings. The context for the study is set against the backdrop of global initiatives, including the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 7, which emphasizes the need to improve energy efficiency to combat climate change. 5. 5. Control of carbon dioxide capture from biomass CHP plants : Designing a suitable control system to realize the flexible operation of the CO2 capture system

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Tanmmay Rout; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Carbon capture; biomass fired combined heat and power plant; MEA based chemical absorption; flue gas; dynamic operation; PI controllers;

    Sammanfattning : This degree project studies the integration of carbon capture system into biomass fired combined heat and power (bio-CHP) plants. The key disturbances from bio-CHP plants include flue gas flow rate, carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration and available heat for the reboiler because the use of versatile biomass and the dynamic operation of CHP plants results in large fluctuations in the properties of flue gas and the heat input for CO2 capture.
