   Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this thesis is to evaluate and analyze the impact of the prohibition against the use of sex as a factor in the calculation of premiums and benefits for the purpose of insurance services that entered into force 21 December 2012. The prohibition is a result of a judgment by the European Court of Justice declaring that the exception in Directive 2004/113/EC, giving member states the opportunity to allow the use of sex as a factor without any temporal limitation, works against the achievement of the objective of equal treatment between women and men.
