    Sammanfattning : Mass spectroscopy imaging (MSI) has become a vital tool in modern research due to its ability to visualize the spatial distribution of molecules within tissue samples. The collaboration between researchers at AZ, the University of Gothenburg, and Chalmers University of Technology using the NanoSIMS instrument and MSI-SIMS technology has opened up new avenues of exploration in pharmaceutical development, particularly in examining drugs and metabolites at sub-cellular levels. 2. 2. The chemical evolution of the Milky Way: pushing APOGEE to higher precision and accuracy

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Erik Fridén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : In the recent decade, a rapid increase in all-sky spectroscopic surveys has occurred, and with it, the wealth of observational data and information on our Galaxy. Consequently, numerous detections of new structures, such as new open clusters, accreted and in-situ components, are discovered. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Geological characterization of rock samples by LIBS and ME-XRT analytical techniques

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Geovetenskap och miljöteknik

    Författare :Nsioh Elvis Nkioh; [2022]
    Nyckelord :geological characterization; analytical techniques; LIBS; ME-XRT; SEM; element maps; SEM-EDS; secondary electrons; rock samples; automated ore microscopy; SEM-Zeiss Merlin; element weight percentages; element oxide percentages; scanning techniques; analytical methods; laser induced breakdown spectrometry; multi energy x-ray transmission; scanning electron microscope; carbon coating; mineralogical classification; element composition; rock chemistry; rock chemical composition;

    Sammanfattning : One of the major challenges in earth sciences and mineral exploration has been to determine with high accuracy and at a fast rate the elemental composition as well as the general chemistry of a rock sample. Many analytical techniques e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Continuous Hydrothermal Co-liquefaction of Biomass : An experimental study on the effects of fuel mixing on the composition and yield of biocrude and hydrochar

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för tillämpad fysik och elektronik

    Författare :Simon Fridolfsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :HTL; TGA; SEM EDS; Co-liquefaction effects; GROT; Kraft lignin; Microalgae;

    Sammanfattning : An experimental study on the effect of fuel mixing on the products resulting from hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) was conducted. The feedstocks used were kraft lignin (KL), GROT (GT) and microalgae cultivated in wastewater (MA). Three sets of mixtures were prepared, each containing two types of feedstocks with a 1:1 ratio: KLGT, MAKL, and MAGT. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Elemental variability in tree-rings as indicator for climate change : a case study on beech and oak trees at the Laacher See, Germany

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi

    Författare :Ann-Kathrin Wild; [2022]
    Nyckelord :trace elements; tree-rings; dendrochemistry; dendroclimatology; ITRAX; Laacher See; mofettes; tree-bark; Quercus sp.; Fagus sp.;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to contribute to the comprehension of the connection of element uptake in trees at the Laacher See in Germany and climatic parameters on different time scales. Understanding the relationship of certain elements in trees and temperature might enable the assignment of extraordinary high peaks in the elemental concentration, which cannot be explained by temperature, to another process as CO2 degassing of the mofettes, which are relics of the volcanic past of the lake.
