Trots detta riktas stark kritik mot outsourcing som affärsstrategi då många tillverkande företag upplever att den totala kostnaden för att erhålla produkterna blir högre i och med att avståndet mellan produktion och marknad ökar och därmed ger upphov till stora påfrestningar på företagets kassaflöde.
