1. Investigation on Enhancing Fire Threat Perception in Virtual Reality through Subject-Expectancy Effect
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : This thesis examines the use of subject-expectancy effect on enhancing fire threat perception in virtual reality. The study involves a virtual fire scenario design and 33 participants who experience virtual fires of three different scales in the scenario using a head-mounted display as visual and auditory perception and adopting physical movement in real world as their way of locomotion. 2. Asymmetrical Collaboration in VR and the Impact of Embodiment during a Guided Procedural Learning Task
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Virtual Reality (VR) is valuable for educational purposes, particularly procedural learning. However, single-user applications lack the benefits of teacher guidance. Symmetrical VR systems, where both teacher and student use VR, have limitations in supervision and accessing external materials. LÄS MER
3. Local collaboration in a Mixed Reality environment : Adding virtual heads to improve social presence
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the use of virtual avatar heads to enhance local video see-through collaboration in a mixed reality environment. When users engage with each other using a head-mounted display, the device sits atop their head and obstructs their view, concealing their gaze and facial expressions while collaborating. LÄS MER
4. Integration of eye tracking device and 3D motion capture for simultaneous gaze and body movement analysis
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : The purpose of this project was to analyze the coordination between gaze and the upper limb movement while performing a predefined task. We implemented a method to simultaneously compute and visualize recorded gaze data from a head mounted eye tracker and motion data from a motion capture system in the same coordinate system. LÄS MER
5. AR Shopping List : Exploring the Design Space of Smart Glasses to Allow Real-time Recording with Multiple Input Formats
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : It is widely considered that in-store shopping is a repetitive yet vital activity in human life. People are accustomed to making shopping lists on a piece of paper or on their mobile phones, or more commonly, memorizing the list in their minds. LÄS MER
