  1. 1. Robust Background Segmentation For Use in Real-time Application : A study on using available foreground-background segmentation research for real-world application

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Emil Brynielsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Image segmentation; Foreground segmentation; Background Segmentation; Remote guidance;

    Sammanfattning : In a world reliant on big industries to produce large quantities of more or less every product used, it is of utmost importance that the machines in such industries continue to run with minimum amounts of downtime. One way more and more providers of such industrial machines try to help their customers reduce downtime when a machine stops working or needs maintenance is through the use of remote guidance; a way of knowledge transfer from a technician to a regular employee that aims to allow the regular employee to be guided in real-time by a technician to solve the task himself, thus, not needing the technician to travel to the factory. 2. 2. Point clouds in the application of Bin Picking

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Statistik och maskininlärning

    Författare :Abhijeet Anand; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Point clouds; Computer vision; 3D instance segmentation; Point cloud registration; Deep learning; Clustering;

    Sammanfattning : Automatic bin picking is a well-known problem in industrial automation and computer vision, where a robot picks an object from a bin and places it somewhere else. There is continuous ongoing research for many years to improve the contemporary solution. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Managing Commodity Price Volatility : A Multi-Case Study

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Erik Hällgren; Viktor Ljungdahl; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Commodity price volatility; raw material; strategic sourcing; Covid-19; supplier relationship management; product segmentation; escalator clause.; prisvolatilitet; råmaterial; strategiskt inköp; Covid-19; leverantörsrelationer; produktportfölj; råmaterialklausul.;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates possible ways of managing commodity price volatility from a purchasing perspective and how the applicability of tools depends on company specific circumstances. Covid-19 has created large disruptions in global supply chains and led to increased price volatility for virtually all commodities. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Screw Hole Detection in Industrial Products using Neural Network based Object Detection and Image Segmentation : A Study Providing Ideas for Future Industrial Applications

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Jakob Melki; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Artificial intelligence AI ; Automated assembly and disassembly; Computer vision; Machine learning; Neural networks; Object detection; Screw hole detection; Semantic segmentation; Artificiell intelligens AI ; Automatiserad montering och demontering; Datorseende; Maskininlärning; Neurala nätverk; Objekt detektering; Skruvhålsdetektering; Semantisk segmentering;

    Sammanfattning : This project is about screw hole detection using neural networks for automated assembly and disassembly. In a lot of industrial companies, such as Ericsson AB, there are products such as radio units or filters that have a lot of screw holes. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Minskade logistikkostnader genom kundsegmentering : En fallstudie med ASSA ABLOY

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Logistik- och kvalitetsutveckling

    Författare :Daniel Sandberg; Axel Trolme; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Logistics Transport Supply Chain Milk run Industrial Warehouse Customer segmentation;

    Sammanfattning : The importance of a satisfactory logistics system is becoming increasingly apparent as a consequence of growing competition and rising customer requirements regarding, amongst others, lead times, flexibility and delivery dependability. The increasing demands reduce profit margins and increase logistics costs, accelerating the  importance of a well-functioning logistics system. LÄS MER
