    Sammanfattning : Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur situationen för mapuchefolkets språk, mapuzungun, ser ut i dagsläget i Temuco i regionen La Araucanía i södra Chile, samt att undersöka dess möjligheter till revitalisering. Syftet med studien är även är att bidra med kunskap om hur man arbetar för att stärka språkets status, och hur mapuchefolket själva ser på språkets situation och framtid, det arbete som görs från statens sida, och ifrån dem själva.
