  2. 2. Demand Forecasting using Machine Learning Methods: An Empirical Study on Walmart Retail Sales Forecast

    D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi

    Författare :Yongjai Lee; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Demand forecasting; machine learning; time series; LSTM; ARIMA;

    Sammanfattning : Economists put considerable effort and research into demand estimation, modeling consumer be- havior uncovering causal relationships between product attributes, consumer preferences, prices, and demand. However, demand forecasting is less explored in the economics literature. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pass-Through Rates of Emission Costs in the Iberian Electricity Market

    D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för nationalekonomi

    Författare :Carl Joel Andersson; Amanda Lee; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Pass-through rate; Emissions cost; Iberia; Electricity Market; Asymmetric;

    Sammanfattning : We investigate the pass-through of emission costs to electricity prices on the Iberian electricity market from 2017 to 2021. Using an IV specification that requires few assumptions on the functional forms of the supply and demand curve we find an average pass-through rate of 110%, which is higher than previous estimates for Spain. 4. 4. Frog in the Factor Pan: Continuous information in factor momentum

    D-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för finansiell ekonomi

    Författare :Darius Saftoiu; Jinyoung Lee; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Momentum; Factor momentum; Frog-in-the-pan hypothesis; Limited attention; Continuous information;

    Sammanfattning : Since stock momentum stems from momentum within common risk factors, as shown through recent studies, we test whether Da et al. (2014)'s frog-in-the-pan hypothesis of limited attention is able to explain the persistence of the momentum within factor risk premia. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Assessing the health potential of urban green space in an urban planning and design context : A comparative case study in the city of Stockholm on differences in accessibility, quality, and inclusivity

    Författare :Steven Lee Jonas Reich; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable Development; urban green space; urban planning; public health; inequality; inclusivity; GIS; comparative case study; urban design;

    Sammanfattning : Urban green spaces (UGS) can produce health-improving (salutogenic) and equigenic effects that narrow the health gap between disadvantaged and affluent neighbourhoods. Yet, the magnitude of such effects relies on the quality of a UGS. Various studies have found UGS quality to be worse in low-income neighbourhoods. LÄS MER
