  1. 1. Optical properties of water absorbing textiles for camouflage

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi

    Författare :Eveline Örtenberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Camouflage; SWIR; Water; Nanocellulose; CNF; Textiles;

    Sammanfattning : Background matching, a form of camouflage, involves species developing patterns and coloration that closely resemble their environment. Humans have utilized camouflage and background matching, particularly in military applications, to reduce detectable characteristics, known as signatures. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The use of hyperspectral sensors for quality assessment : A quantitative study of moisture content in indoor vertical farming

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Arezo Ahaddi; Zeineb Al-Husseini; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Hyperspectral Imaging; lettuce; moisture content; NIR; near-infrared spectroscopy; shelf life; quality assessment; vertical farming; MicroNIR;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: This research will study how hyperspectral sensoring can assess the moisture content of lettuce by monitoring its growth in indoor vertical farming. Research questions: “What accuracy can be achieved when using hyperspectral sensoring for assessing the moisture content of lettuce leaves grown in vertical farming?” “How can vertical farming contribute to sustainability in conjunction with integration of NIR spectroscopy?” Methodology: This study is an experimental study with a deductive approach in which experiments have been performed using the hyperspectral technologies singlespot sensor and the hyperspectral camera Specim FX17 to collect spectral data. 3. 3. Processing techniques of perovskite solar cells : Properties depending on material and manufacturing

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Fysikalisk kemi

    Författare :Andréa Nordmark; Simon Nilsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This project investigates how different types of perovskite solar cells, differentiated by choice of materials and processing techniques, compares to each other regarding performance and characterization. The purpose of the project is to further develop perovskite solar cells and to improve the method of manufacturing for better performance. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Prediction of flue gas properties using artificial intelligence : Application of supervised machine learning by utilization of Near-Infrared Spectroscopy on solid biofuels

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Bashe Abdirahman Hussein; Emran Samimi; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Artificial Intelligence; Machine learning; Near-Infrared spectroscopy; Solid biofuels; Fuel element; Flue gas composition; CCS;

    Sammanfattning : This degree project studies implementation and comparison of different AI models to predict (1) solid biofuel elements including carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen as well as moisture content, ash content, and higher heating value (HHV) of the fuel and (2) flue gas compositions such as concentration of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, nitrogen oxides, and water content using near-infrared spectroscopy and chemometric approaches. The study executes these predictions by simulating the operation of a combined heat and power plant (CHP) that is equipped with carbon capture and storage (CCS). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Real-time characterization of fuel by Near-Infrared spectroscopy : Quantitative measurements of moisture content, ash content, heating value, and elemental compositions in solid biofuel mixtures

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Kajsa Edlund; Ali Ahmad Shahnawazi; [2021]
    Nyckelord :NIR; spectroscopy; solid biofuel mixtures; moisture content; ash content; heating value; elemental composition; boiler; CHP pant; CCS; CO2; emissions; NIR; spektroskopi; fasta biobränsleblandningar; fukthalt; ask innehåll; värmevärde; elementär komposition; panna; kraftvärmeverk; CCS; CO2; utsläpp;

    Sammanfattning : The global energy demand supplies mainly from fossil fuels, which is neither sustainable nor environmentally friendly and aims to global warming. Therefore, both more investments in renewable energy sources such as bioenergy are required, as well as new technologies such as carbon capture and storage (CCS) to handle the emissions from existing combined heat and power (CHP) plants.
