  1. 1. Radio Environment Compensation in a Narrowband IoT Positioning System : Using Radio Signal Metrics Between Stationary Devices

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Elin Berglund; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Positioning; IoT; machine learning; range estimation; Positionering; IoT; maskininlärning; avståndsuppskattning;

    Sammanfattning : The Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as a powerful tool for meeting our need to collect information about and interact with our environments. One important aspect of this technology is positioning which imposes requirements on both the energy consumption and the arrangement of the systems. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Being able to keep track of ones assets is a very useful thing, from avoiding losing ones keys or phone to being able to find the needed equipment in a busy hospital or on a construction site. The area of localization is actively evolving to find the best ways to accurately track objects and devices in an energy efficient manner, at any range, and in any type of environment. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The ability to control the path a signal takes through microwave circuitry is crucial when designing RF systems. The component that allows for the control of the signal path is called a switch, and it is the microwave component that this thesis will focus on. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Towards a setup for narrowband terahertz generation through difference-frequency mixing of chirped ultrashort pulses

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Isa Clementsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Terahertz radiation is a useful tool for inducing lower-energy excitations in matter, where it can be used to cause structural changes through direct interaction with the crystal lattice. Sub-picosecond optical pulses can be used to generate intense broadband terahertz pulses through optical rectification in nonlinear crystals, reaching peak electric fields of several MV/m and conversion efficiencies as high as a few percent. 5. 5. Homomorphic Encryption for Audio Conferencing

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Herman Nordin; Ebba Lindström; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Homomorphic encryption; VoIP; security; audio conferencing; cryptography;

    Sammanfattning : Homomorphic encryption (HE) enables computations on encrypted data making it possible to perform calculations on a server without sharing the secret key for decryption. HE is relatively new and has seen significant improvements in recent years in terms of speed of encryption, decryption, operations, and the number of operations possible to perform in a row without damaging the ciphertext.
