  1. 1. API abstraction of Robotic Frameworks and its usability impact

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Enrique Cordero Miranda; Alexander Zajac; [2017-06-22]
    Nyckelord :REST API; Robotics; ROS; Opendavinci;

    Sammanfattning : This paper explains the process to design and develop an API to abstract robotic frameworks away from users. It also evaluates the API in comparison to a robotic framework in regards to usability. In order to evaluate usability a systematic data collection process was done to measure operability, learnability and user error protection. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Evaluating Data Marshalling Approaches for Embedded Real-Time Systems on the Example of Autonomous Scaled Cars

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Victor Borosean; Saulius Eidukas; Andy Dang; [2015-07-20]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This paper conducted a comparison between four di erent data mar- shaling approaches (Netstrings, LCM, Protobuf, and ROS) that were im- plemented in the OpenDaVINCI environment and evaluated from di erent perspectives. In this study we compared the data marshaling approaches on the low-level, focusing on the overhead in terms of control data and en- coding/decoding for data structures that are common to OpenDaVINCI. 3. 3. Comparison and visualization of real-time recordnings against simulated environment in development of self-driving miniature vehicles

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Aliaksandr Karasiou; Leila Keza; Tomasz Rakalski; [2015-05-05]
    Nyckelord :Embedded systems; testing miniature vehicles; Carolo Cup; Simulation; OpenDaVinci;

    Sammanfattning : Testing of solutions for embedded systems has repeatedly proven to be an issue. What is a perfectly working algorithm on a testing machine may not necessarily be an optimal fix for a miniature board. When working with miniature vehicle project at the University of Gothenburg, we have experienced these issues first hand. LÄS MER
