  1. 1. Validation of software for the calculation of aerodynamic coefficients : with a focus on the software package Tornado

    Kandidat-uppsats, Fluid och mekanisk systemteknik

    Författare :Ramón López Pereira; [2010]
    Nyckelord :Aerodynamic coefficients; Aerodynamiska koefficienter;

    Sammanfattning : Several programs exist today for calculating aerodynamic coefficients that with some simplifications provide fast approximations of the values for a real aircraft. Four different programs were analyzed for this report: Tornado, AVL, PANAIR and a handbook-type preliminary method. In addition, ANSYS CFX was used for airfoil validation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Aircraft Parametric 3D Modelling and Panel Code of Analysis for Conceptual Design

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Institutionen för ekonomisk och industriell utveckling

    Författare :Mehdi Tarkian; Francisco Javier Zaldivar Tessier; [2007]
    Nyckelord :Parametric CAD model; CFD; Panel Code; Aerodynamic; Conceptual Design; Aircraft Design; Mesh Generation; Pro Engineer; CATIA; Panair; tool integration;

    Sammanfattning : Throughout the development of this report there will be a brief explanation of what the actual Aircraft Design Process is and in which stages the methodology that the authors are proposing will be implemented as well as the tools that will interact to produce this methodology. The proposed tool will be the first part of a methodology that, according to the authors, by integrating separate tools that are currently used in different stages of the aeronautical design, will promote a decrease in the time frame for the initial stages of the design process.
