    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines a selection of poems of Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan for stylistic devices, used to express the dynamic of speaking and silence in the poems. The main question of the thesis is how speaking and silencing are represented in the poetry of Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan and which influence has the philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein and Martin Heidegger on this representation.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this study has been to enable a depiction of humanness without having recourse to the human body and to make it conceivable to relate to the aesthetics of anthropomorphism. Four artworks from as many installations by the Colombian artist Doris Salcedo have made up a base for the investigation: Atrabiliarios (Defiant, Bitterness), Untitled, La Casa Viuda (The Widow House or The Widowed House) and Plegaria Muda (Silent Prayer or Silenced Prayer).     Sammanfattning : The following paper discusses the ideological and aesthetic contexts discernible in the poetry of the Norwegian author Tor Ulven (1953–1995). Generally considered the major Norwegian poet to emerge after the Second World War, Tor Ulven was, in his own self-taught way, a “poeta doctus,” although his extensive knowledge – of European literary traditions, languages, philosophy, music and paintings – rarely if ever burdened his knife-sharp poetic images.
