    Sammanfattning : Lindholmens Bathhouse – a reproduction of a bygone era? This thesis discusses the development of generative AI and if we can get an extended understanding of an AI image linked to an already existing place. The essay is divided into two parts, one which focuses on trying to decode the chosen AI image based on Roland Barthes semiotics and the second part which deals with the AI image and with means to put it in its historical context based on Aleida Assmann’s theory of cultural memory.     Sammanfattning : This bachelor thesis studies a specific recurring trend from the 1990’s, which in this case is exemplified as dungarees, or as more commonly used, overalls. To understand the essence of this trend and why it’s recurring, a semiotic analysis is applied to the study and to understand the qualitative values it houses, such as social practices and structures, as well as signs, codes and symbolism, will be used to concretize the correlation between the actual trend, it’s exposure to society during the 1990’s versus today and also, how and why it's still consumed to this day.
