    Sammanfattning : Brazil, like other Latin American countries, has witnessed an increase in south-south migration rates in the last decade. This scenario led to important changes in migration policies at the Federal level – the update of the conservative Foreigner Statute from 1980 to a rights-based Migration law in 2017 is the prime example of how migration flows can contribute to the promotion of rights and strengthen democracy in host societies.     Sammanfattning : Brazilian productive forest plantations and sustainability is a continuous subject of debate, since such forest plantations constitute an increasing proportion of the Brazilian forest cover, and because of documented instances where some establishments have resulted in negative impacts on local ecosystems and communities. Meanwhile, balancing economic, environmental and social sustainability is becoming an important concern in industrial decision-making given the increasing importance of the global sustainability goals.     Sammanfattning : In this study an outline is presented of the semantic network of the preposition up in American English in sentences extracted from the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA), which was done to determine what the most common uses and meanings of the preposition are, as well as to determine if most of its possible meanings are concrete or abstract. The results show that there is a salient use and also prototypical meaning of up, and that these are major factors that impact the semantic network of the preposition. LÄS MER
