  1. 1. Trädplantering i den hårdgjorda staden : utmaningar och lösningsalternativ

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (from 130101)

    Författare :Ingela Carlgren; [2024]
    Nyckelord :gatuträd; urbana träd; trädplantering; gatumiljö; urban jord; kompaktering; skelettjord; makadamsubstrat; rotceller; suspended pavement;

    Sammanfattning : Träd är viktiga delar av våra städer. De bidrar med många ekosystemtjänster, som klimatreglering, dagvattenhantering och positiva hälsoeffekter. De är också viktiga identitetsskapande element. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modelling the chemical recycling of plastic waste via pyrolysis and analysing integration with existing refinery infrastructure

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Simon Dahl; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Pyrolysis; Recycling; Integration; Modelling; Simulation; Techno-economic; Plastic; Chemical engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Current plastic management is unsustainable as large amounts of plastic end up landfilled or in the ocean, necessitating an expansion of waste management infrastructure. Pyrolysis is a viable chemical recycling option, and in this report a pyrolysis model is constructed in Aspen Plus. LÄS MER

  3. 3. “The Effects of Sensory Marketing in Physical Second-Hand Stores” : A qualitative study of how applying sensory marketing in a physical second-hand store can influence consumers to choose more sustainable options while shopping for apparel.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för management (MAN)

    Författare :Kajsa Carlsson; Carina Klingestam Lundqvist; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Second-hand; Sustainability; Sensory Marketing; Physical Stores; Purchase Decisions; Customer Experience; Fast Fashion;

    Sammanfattning : The emergence of online stores specializing in fast fashion apparel has presented a significant challenge to brick-and-mortar stores and has had detrimental consequences for the environment. Consequently, it is essential for physical stores to stay informed about emerging trends in physical store design. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Ecological risk assessment of pesticide use in rice farming in the Mekong Delta , Vietnam

    Magister-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi

    Författare :Bubaraye Ohiosimuan Dirikumo; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Pesticides; Ecological Risk Assessment ERA ; rice farming; Mekong Delta; PRIMET Model; Exposure Toxicity Ratio ETR ; species sensitivity distribution SSD ; predicted environmental concentrations PECs ;

    Sammanfattning : Pesticide use in rice farming is a common practice in the Mekong Delta and poses ecological risks to aquatic organisms, the environment, and human health. This study focused on the ecological risk assessment of pesticide use in rice farming using the PRIMET model as a decision support tool to evaluate the risks of pesticide exposure, ecotoxicity, and risk characterization, as well as employing the species sensitivity distribution (SSD) assessment model to calculate the potentially affected fraction (PAF) of species based on the computed predicted environmental concentrations (PECs) from PRIMET. 5. 5. Status Mapping of tank to grave management of Low-GWP refrigerants.

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Sandra Parra Gimeno; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Refrigerant; Blends; Synthetic low-GWP refrigerant; Natural refrigerant; Global Warming Potential GWP ; Tank-to-grave; Interviews.; Köldmedier; Blandning; Globalt uppvärmningspotential GWP ; Låg-GWP köldmedier; Naturligt köldmedier; installation till destruktion; Intervjuer.;

    Sammanfattning : Refrigeration plays a vital role today in various residential, commercial, and industrial processes, requiring refrigerants to facilitate the cooling or heating processes. Over time, refrigerants have undergone significant changes to meet technological, social, environmental, and economic needs. LÄS MER
