  1. 1. Towards Agenda 2030: Use of GIS in visualizing emissions from personal automobiles for evidence-based policy and planning

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Jöran Matson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable Development; Geographic Information Systems; GIS; carbon emissions mitigation; local policy; city planning; co-modality; multimodal; mobility; transportation;

    Sammanfattning : Many countries have committed to goals of emission reductions outlined by the Paris Agreement. The actions and results seen thus far from national governments have been lackluster notwithstanding their good faith pledges. City governments have taken it upon themselves to pick up where their national governments have failed. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Co-modality - A forgotten concept?

  4. 4. The European Concept of Green Corridors in Sustainable Transport Systems : Case of East-West Transport Corridor in the Baltic Sea Region

    Magister-uppsats, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Sektionen för planering och mediedesign

    Författare :Baiba Thomaeus; [2011]
    Nyckelord :Green transport corridors; EU transport policy; sustainable transport;

    Sammanfattning : A new European concept - Green Corridors - has been introduced to the EU member states defining them as long-distance freight transport corridors where advanced technology and co-modality are used to achieve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Key objectives of the thesis are the development of the European concept of Green Corridor regarding the theory of sustainable transport and EU transport policy, the implementation level of the concept within the East-West Transport Corridor and the relation of a’ greener’ East-West corridor to sustainable transport solutions in the Baltic Sea Region as well as towards more sustainable transport system in the EU.
