1. Teachers’ Perception of Factors Delaying Evacuation of School Children
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to study teachers’ perception of children’s ability to evacuate, thus learning about children’s evacuation behavior. Questions of interest are teachers’ perception of children’s ability to evacuate, their behavior, if there are any misconceptions in the teachers’ perception and how fire evacuation drills influence the teachers’ perceptions. 2. Evaluating impact of table layout in classroom evacuation with crowd simulation
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/DatavetenskapSammanfattning : With the rise of hazardous events in classroom and school settings, the need for efficient and safe evacuation planning has never been more vital. Relying on intuition to draw conclusions, while often well intended, can do more harm than good. LÄS MER
3. The mayday way : Navigering på kryssningsfartyg vid evakuering av brand
Kandidat-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknikSammanfattning : Abstract Nowadays we travel much more than we did before, this is mainly due to how easy it has become to get to different places. Traveling took a break during the corona pandemic but has now recovered a lot. Among these means of transport, we have cruise ships that are becoming increasingly common due to greater demand. 4. Visibility in Smoke With Different Extinction Coefficients
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : Visibility in smoke has since the 1970s gained some attention, mostly after Tadahisa Jin ran the experiments which helped him develop todays widely used visibility equation. By showing that visibility can be assumed to be inversely proportional to the extinction coefficient by a visibility constant (equal to 8 for light emitting sign and 3 for light reflecting), Jin opened up new doors for researchers who were testing out his theory by going around experimenting in different ways and also by showing that there is way for more research to be done. 5. Simulating Effects of Agent Velocity Changes on Crowd Behavior During Fire Emergency Evacuations
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Fire emergencies are both deadly and difficult to accurately model in real life. Computer-simulated crowds provide a way to observe the possible outcome of a fire emergency evacuation without endangering real human subjects. LÄS MER
