  1. 1. Investigation of Injury Predictors for Rat Neuro Trauma

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Författare :Rosetta Maglio; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Finite element method; Rat brain traumatic brain injury; Rat brain finite element model; Strain; Strain rate; Product of strain and strain rate; Rotational direction; Rotational duration; Injury prediction; Finita elementmetoden; Råtthjärnans finita elementmodell; Belastning; Belastningshastighet; Produkten av belastning och belastningshastighet; Rotationsriktning; Rotationstid; Skadeförutsägelse;

    Sammanfattning : A traumatic brain injury is usually caused by a direct impact to the head and is a common cause of disability and death all around the world. The most effective method to predict brain injury today, is to use a finite element head model. LÄS MER

  2. 2. EFFEKTER PÅ UPPSTRÖMSSTABILITETEN I FYLLNINGSDAMMAR : Ändrade porvattentryck till följd av cykliska magasinsnivåer

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Emma Widén; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Vattenfluktuationer; Släntstabilitet; Porvattentryck; Tolererat fel; Finita elementmetoden;

    Sammanfattning : Hydropower is one of the few energy sources with the ability to store a resource and thus regulate electricity production. When the water level in a reservoir changes, this affects the pore water pressures in the dam. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Localized and extended states in finite-sized mosaic Wannier-Stark lattices

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysik

    Författare :Emrah Tortumlu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Applied Physics; Condensed matter physics; quantum technology; quantum nanophotonics; localization; mobility edge; phase transition; Tillämpad Fysik; Kondenserade materiens fysik; kvantteknologi; kvantnanofotonik; lokalisering; fasövergång;

    Sammanfattning : Anderson localization occurs when an otherwise conductive solid becomes insulatingdue to a sufficiently large degree of disorder in the medium. The electron band energy(as a function of disorder) at which this transition between extended and localizedelectron states occur is called the mobility edge (ME) and is energy-dependent only in3-dimensional systems. 4. 4. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Ambre Visive; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Applied Physics; Particle Physics; MANGO; Magnetic Field Maps; Normal-Conducting Magnets; Finite-Element Modelling; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Beam Lines; Experimental Areas; CERN; Tillämpad Fysik; Partikelfysik; MANGO; Magnetfältskartor; Normalkonduktiva Elektromagneter; Finit Elementmodellering; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Partikelstrållinje; Experimentområden; CERN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Moderling Acoustic Transmission in Towed Array Sonars : Computations of the coupled acoustic and elastic wave equations

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Bill Claesson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a method of solving the Helmholtz equation coupled with the Navier-Cauchy equation over a cross section of a Towed Array Sonar (TAS) modeled as a simplified cylindrical shell. The purpose of solving these equations is to estimate the transfer function of the pressure between the outside boundary and a position inside the TAS. LÄS MER
