1. Localized and extended states in finite-sized mosaic Wannier-Stark lattices
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Anderson localization occurs when an otherwise conductive solid becomes insulatingdue to a sufficiently large degree of disorder in the medium. The electron band energy(as a function of disorder) at which this transition between extended and localizedelectron states occur is called the mobility edge (ME) and is energy-dependent only in3-dimensional systems. 2. Z2-Gauge Theory with Matter : Dispersive behaviour of a dimer in a 1+1-dimensional lattice
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The intention with this thesis is to investigate a dimer in a spin chain. Inorder to do that, a model from Z2-gauge theory is taken as the theoretical motivation to construct a discrete lattice with Ising spin properties. A dimer is then allowed to exist indirectly in the empty space between sites. LÄS MER
3. Numerical Estimation of Critical Exponents in the 3D XY Model
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : The experimentally obtained value of the critical exponent ν is presently in significant disagreement with current theoretical predictions for the λ-universality class. We suggest two novel approaches of determining the exponents ν and η by utilizing the effects of finite size scaling. LÄS MER
4. Dependence of Degradation Mechanisms in Magnesium Alloys on Grain Orientation and Interfaces in 3D
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/MaterialteknikSammanfattning : Magnesium alloys are promising candidates as biomedical implants. However, a good understanding of their degradation processes is lacking. In this work, degradation in two magnesium alloys were studied in a simple physiological-fluid electrolyte of H2O+0.9wt%NaCl, Mg-5wt%Zn (Z5) & Mg-5wt%Zn-0. LÄS MER
5. A Side-Channel Attack on Masked and Shuffled Implementations of M-LWE and M-LWR Cryptography : A case study of Kyber and Saber
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : In response to the threat of a future, large-scale, quantum computer, the American National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) initiated a competition for designs of quantum-resistant cryptographic primitives. In 2022, the lattice-based Module-Learning With Errors (M-LWE) scheme Kyber emerged as the winner to be standardized. LÄS MER
