    Sammanfattning : In 2020 the world was hit by a pandemic which caused the Swedish government to force all high schools to carry out their education through internet to enable the students to study from home. This survey study aimed to examine correlations between different variables such as student’s perception of distant education, their psychological health, school performance, home environment and different spare time activities.     Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates how queer people perceive queer representations in popular media (film and TV) produced in recent years and how such representations affect queer people’s identity and self-perception, as well as how they mirror and reproduce heteronormative understandings of queerness. Our aim was also to analyze this treatment from an interactionist perspective using the turning points theory, the labeling theory, Ervin Goffman’s dramaturgical perspective and, the interactionist perspective view on the emotion shame. Building on a symbolic interactionist view of social interaction, I explore the strategies of presentation of self in a diasporic environment, in which members adapt their role performances according to ongoing changes to rules of interaction.
