    Sammanfattning : Systematic reviews of the effect of foster care on mental-health outcomes have consistently indicated a zero-sum game, which makes it unclear whether the intervention is suitable for children in need of out-of-home placements. This thesis took on a meta-analytical approach to examine sources of heterogeneity between studies evaluating the effect of foster care on adaptive functioning, cognitive functioning, externalizing behavior, internalizing behavior, and total problems behavior.     Sammanfattning : The present study examined 1336 twelve- and thirteen-year old Swedish adolescents’ experience of parents’ reactions to misbehavior and its relations to self-reported internalizing and externalizing problems.     Sammanfattning : Bakgrund: I Sverige växer cirka 385 000 barn upp i familjer där en eller bägge föräldrar har en riskabel konsumtion av alkohol, vilket innebär att 4- 5 barn i varje skolklass har minst en förälder med riskabel alkoholkonsumtion, och att minst 60 000 barn under 18 år har en förälder vilken har allvarliga alkoholproblem. Dessa barn har en ökad risk att utveckla ohälsa, där den psykiska ohälsan är en av de allvarligaste riskerna för folkhälsan på sikt. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Differences in family structure have been linked to several mental health outcomes, where children living in a nuclear family setting are best-off, while children in joint physical custody are second best followed by those living mostly and only with one parent.
