1. Robustness of State-of-the-Art Visual Odometry and SLAM Systems
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Visual(-Inertial) Odometry (VIO) and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) are hot topics in Computer Vision today. These technologies have various applications, including robotics, autonomous driving, and virtual reality. They may also be valuable in studying human behavior and navigation through head-mounted visual systems. LÄS MER
2. General Defocus Particle Tracking
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Three-dimensional particle tracking is a valuable tool in microfluidics for obtaining information about a system. General Defocus Particle Tracking (GDPT) is a straightforward method of 3D particle tracking that only requires a single-camera plane, making it applicable to existing equipment in a laboratory. 3. Single Photon LSCM in the NIR Range
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : In this thesis a near-infrared laser scanning confocal microscope (NIR-LSCM) is built to operate with optimal performance at 1550nm in combination with simultaneous LED light imaging at 970nm. For detection, a camera equipped with a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensor and a superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD) are used for the LED part and the LSCM part, respectively. 4. A Machine Vision System for Robotic Operations Quality Control in an Automated Biological Lab
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : Quality control is a necessity when it comes to automating a biological lab with the help of robotics. Two major quality control objectives are targeted by the research group PharmBio at Uppsala University: (1) barcode recognition and decoding, and (2) determining the position and orientation of microplates relative the gripper at the end of an industrial robot arm. 5. Implementation and verification of a quantitative MRI method for creating and evaluating synthetic MR images
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis was to implement and quantitatively test a quantitative MRI (qMRI) method, from which synthetic MR images are created and also evaluated. The parameter maps of T1, T2*, and effective proton density (PD*) were tested with reference tubes containing different relaxation times, and concentrations of water (H2O) and heavy water (D2O).
