  1. 1. Computer-Aided Characterization of Lung - Segmentation and Vessel Tree Analysis Algorithms for Clinical Research Applications

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Daniel Karoumi; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Lung; lung segmentation; NSIP; IPF; lung vessels; lung morphometry; 3D Slicer; Lunga; lungsegmentering; NSIP; IPF; lungkärl; lung morfometri; 3D Slicer;

    Sammanfattning : The initial stage of a lung examination involves the segmentation of a CT image, a process that has been put under a lot of pressure with the high demand for chest scans and accurate segmentations. Current automatic segmentation algorithms are either non-robust for different datasets, not easily accessible, or time-consuming. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Investigating Sand Dune Location, Orientation and Geomorphometry Through GEOBIA-Based Mapping: A Case Study in Northern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Melanie Stammler; [2020]
    Nyckelord :sand dunes; geomorphological mapping; object-based image analysis; landscape development; sanddyner; geomorfologisk kartläggning; geografisk objektbaserad bildanalys; landskapsutveckling;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change has repeatedly been framed as the defining issue of the Anthropocene and with the Arctic changing at unpreceded speed need is high for a profound understanding of the Northern Swedish landscape. Northern Swedish aeolian sand dunes have been impacted by climatic changes throughout time. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Effekter av inkuberingstemperatur på kroppsform och fenstorlek hos juvenil atlantlax (Salmo salar L.)

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet

    Författare :Annika Flytström; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Salmon; Salmo salar; fish; incubation temperature; egg; temperature; incubation; climate change; morphology; body shape; fin size; Lax; Salmo salar; fisk; inkuberingstemperatur; ägg; rom; temperatur; inkubering; klimatförändringar; morfologi; kroppsform; fenor;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming, a consequence of the ongoing climate change, is expected to increase the mean global temperature by up to 5°C this century. This is predicted to have various impacts on the earth's ecosystems and especially on ectotherms which cannot regulate body temperature by endogenous heat production. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Dynamics of Selachian (Shark) Dental Morphology During the Early Mesozoic

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Alexander Paxinos; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Early Mesozoic; Selachii; morphological disparity; geometric morphometrics; early radiation; Tidig Mesozoisk; Selachimorpha; morfologisk disparitet; geometrisk morfometri; tidig strålning;

    Sammanfattning : The ancestors of all modern day sharks and rays (Neoselachii) may have appeared during the Late Palaeozoic, but their major diversification happened sometime during the Early Mesozoic. Taxonomic evidence places the first neoselachian diversification in the Early Jurassic. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Diversity and Ecology of a Middle Campanian (Late Cretaceous) Marine Reptile Assemblage from Skåne, Southern Sweden

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Lena Källsten; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Landmark morphometrics; Marine amniotes; Cretaceous; Mosasauridae; Plesiosauridae; Aigialosuchus; Landmärkesbaserad morfometri; marina amnioter; Kritaperioden; Mosasauridae; Plesiosauridae; Aigialosuchus;

    Sammanfattning : This study has looked at an assemblage of fossilised teeth from Mesozoic marine amniotes from the Kristianstad basin in southern Sweden in order to make an estimate of the ecomorph diversity within said assemblage through looking at the morphology of the teeth. This was done as a pilot study to see if further studies would be able to produce worthwhile results. LÄS MER
