  1. 1. Tidningars beskrivningar av personer med funktionsnedsättning. Stereotypisering och motverkande av stereotyper i fyra svenska tidningar

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Socialhögskolan

    Författare :Selma Isovic; Christina Falvin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :People with disabilities; stereotypes; stereotyping; newspaper; language use Personer med funktionsnedsättning; stereotyper; stereotypisering; tidningar; språkanvändning; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to examine how people with disabilities are described in Swedish newspapers and how these descriptions relate to the theory of stereotypes and stereotyping. Two research questions were answered: 1) How are people with disabilities described in Swedish newspapers? And 2) how do these descriptions contribute to upholding or challenging stereotypes about people with disabilities? The empirical material for this study was descriptions of people with disabilities in newspaper articles from four Swedish newspapers. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Demokrati eller klimatomställning? : en systematiserande innehållsanalys av Återställ Våtmarkers demokratisyn

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

    Författare :Emma Hansson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Democracy-environment nexus; climate movement; environmental democracy; ecological democracy; Återställ Våtmarker;

    Sammanfattning : Is it possible to achieve ecological sustainability with our current democratic system? This question constitutes the democracy-environment nexus which has been a core theme in both the public debate as well as in research ever since the climate issue gained status of being a social problem in the 1970s. We are constantly presented with increasingly alarming science about the consequences of global warming. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Biocatalysis in Pickering emulsions

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master); Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (CI)

    Författare :Christine Vera Isabel Schmidt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Enzymes; Pickering emulsion; Amine Transaminases; Green Chemistry; Stereoselectivity; Biotechnology; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Employing enzymes as catalysts in the production of chiral amines that are both used as building blocks and active pharmaceutical ingredients might be promising due to milder reaction conditions compared to non-biological catalysts, exclusion of heavy metals, high selectivity towards substrates and precision in chirality of the products. Transaminases are attractive for the use in this process. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Emulsifying properties of cellulose oxalate and pectin from Norway spruce bark

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Författare :Semonti Hussain; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Cellulose oxalate COX ; Bark; Norway spruce; Pectin; Pickering emulsion; Pulp;

    Sammanfattning : Nanocellulose is a sustainable material and has shown interesting properties in various applications. One such application is Pickering emulsion, where the nanocellulose stabilizes the oil and water interface. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Formulation of nanoemulsions stabilized by cellulose nanocrystals

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Författare :Marco Maccagno; [2020]
    Nyckelord :nanocellulose; hydroxypropyl methilcellulose; Pickering emulsions; microfluidization; drug delivery; nanocellulosa; hydroxipropylmetylcellulosa; Pickering emulsioner; microfluidization; drogleverans;

    Sammanfattning : Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) are bio-based nanoparticles with the ability to stabilize oil and water emulsions thanks to their intermediate wettability and nanometric size. These and other types of particle-stabilized emulsions, commonly referred to as Pickering emulsions, are of great academic and industrial interest due to their superior stability against drop coalescence compared to classical surfactant-stabilized emulsions.
