    Sammanfattning : This degree thesis investigates the possibilities of producing food inside a container at Svalbard, using renewable energy and energy storage. The idea was to be able to place the container at remote places without the need of being connected to the grid. We chose Svalbard, where it is cold and the sun is shining 24 hours a day at summertime. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Global warming is predicted to have a major impact on the ecosystems over the polar latitudes including the Arctic region which is thought to be especially sensitive to changes in climate. So far, the research studying greenhouse gases in the Arctic has primarily been focused on the short and intense growing season when carbon flux is mostly driven by plants and soil microorganisms.
