    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to examine the discourses on climate change in relation to certain European heat waves in Swedish print media, with the help of Anabela Carvalho’s discourse analysis, specifically formulated for media. To what extent did the media link the extreme weather events to climate change, and man-made emissions? This study also examines the role of actors and discursive strategies in shaping the media discourse regarding the subject, how the focus shifts from history-, to future-, to present orientated, and to which extent political and ideological standpoints were expressed as a result of the heatwaves.
