  1. 1. IMPLICATION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF GOTHENBURG TO ALIGN WITH THE GOVERNMENT’S TARGET REGARDING CLIMATE NEUTRALITY BY 2045 - Scenarios and Consequences

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Nafiseh Kazemi Ashtiani; [2023-06-21]
    Nyckelord :Climate Neutrality; GHG emissions; higher education institutions HEIs ; Net Zero emission; carbon footprint; carbon capture and storage CCS ;

    Sammanfattning : It is widely acknowledged that one of the most significant global challenges of the 21 st century is climate change. In its Fifth Assessment Report (2014), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) described the present extent of the problem and the hazards involved, citing greenhouse gas emissions from human activities as the primary contributor to global warming since the mid-20th century. 2. 2. Feasibility Study of X-ray Free Electron Lasers in Fourth Generation Storage Rings

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/MAX IV-laboratoriet

    Författare :Jordis Hansen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :XFEL; Storage Ring; Synchrotron Radiation; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis studies the feasibility of a cavity based X-ray free electron laser in a fourth generation storage ring. The cavity design allows for modulation of the electron beam over several passes through the undulator. Simulations based on the PETRA IV facility are done to create the photon flux spectrum of a light pulse produced by an undulator. LÄS MER

  3. 3. System Integration and Verification Verdict Automation using Machine Learning

    Master-uppsats, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Anthony Kommareddy; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Error Detection; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Log Files; Verdicts.;

    Sammanfattning : Context: The volume of log files is massive as they contain vital information about the application’s behavior; they map out broad parts of the application, allowing us to understand how every component behaves, whether normally or abnormally. As a result, it is critical to examine the log files to see if the system is deviating from its usual path. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Active stabilisation of a micro-sized fibre cavity using tilt locking to enable quantum operations on single ions

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Jannek Hansen; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Quantum computation; optical cavity; microcavity; locking; tilt locking; cavity stabilization; Gaussian-Hermitian modes; quantum computer; higher-order transverse modes; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the tilt locking scheme is applied to create an error signal that monitors length changes in a fibre-based microcavity. To find a robust and precise locking technique is an essential step towards quantum operations on single rare-earth ions doped in microcrystals. Quantum computing and information is a frontier of modern physics. LÄS MER

  5. 5. A Quadrature Frequency Generation Chain for Direct-conversion Phased-array 5G Transceivers

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Hamid Yadegar Amin; [2020]
    Nyckelord :5G Phased array mm-wave FR2; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The 5th generation (5G) has recently specified a new spectrum range, FR2- 5G New Radio (5G-NR), to provide higher spectral efficiency and channel capacity for ubiquitous cellular connectivity where the user ends can be in various types such as picocell stations, sensor nodes, cloud servers, hand-held devices, and so on. Due to the advantage of phased array antennas in performing beam-forming, and improving SNR at higher spectra, multi-antenna systems have gained an inevitable role in developing such radios. LÄS MER
