  1. 1. Coupling between iron and humic substances in a land-sea transitional zone in the northern Baltic Sea

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Anna Osterman; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Iron; Humic substances; Dissolved organic carbon; Baltic Sea; Rivers;

    Sammanfattning : In marine ecosystems around the world, iron (Fe) is a well-studied and important trace element which has been found to stimulate phytoplankton and cyanobacteria growth, as well as limit nitrogen fixation and being essential for Legionella pneumophila which is known as the main cause of Legionnaires’ disease. Fe also contributes to the brownification of freshwater and has recently been documented to increase in concentration in rivers in Sweden. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Stability improvement to a ruthenium catalyst for partial oxidation of methane

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)

    Författare :Melker Axelsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :catalysis; reaction engineering; kinetics; partial oxidation; chemical engineering; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Catalytic partial oxidation of methane (CPOM) is an energy-efficient alternative to steam reforming, the currently prevailing method for energy production from natural gas. Hulteberg Chemistry & Engineering AB has developed a catalyst for the partial oxidation of methane into syngas, for use in solid oxide fuel cells. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Ion pair chromatography of carboxylic and sulfonic acids with trialkylamines : An investigation of the relationship between the adsorption isotherm of the IPR and the retention factor of the analyte

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörs- och kemivetenskaper (from 2013)

    Författare :Karl Kullberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Ion pair chromatography has found many uses within analytical chemistry and understanding of the chromatographic process with an ion-pairing reagent have been studied since the 1970s. The adsorption of the Ion-pairing reagent to the stationary phase is understood to be important and many studies have been dedicated to looking at the adsorption isotherms of the earlier quaternary alkylammonium ions. 4. 4. Investigation of Antenna Radomes in Low Earth Orbits

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Mathias Manohar Gren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Materials; Science; Space; Satellites; Antenna Radomes; Beyond Gravity; Coatings; Physics; Chemistry; Low Earth Orbits; Engineering; Lunds University; Materials Chemistry; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: This master’s thesis focuses on exploring improved alternative material solutions for antenna radomes used to protect Beyond Gravity Sweden’s satellite antennas in low Earth orbits. Background: As the environment in low Earth orbit is harsh, surface materials on satellites experience high levels of atomic oxygen, ultra violet radiation, thermal-fluctuation, charged particles and micro meteoroids. 5. 5. Synthesis of Organo-Iron(II) Complexes Including N-Heterocyclic Carbene Ligation as Solar Cell Material.

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Salim Charkas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Dye-sensitized solar cell; Transition metal complex; Synthesis iron; N-heterocyclic carbene NHC ; Organic chemistry; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The push-pull design has been shown to increase DSC performance through the introduction of electron-withdrawing groups and electron-donating groups, usually on opposite far ends of the sensitizer. The scope of this thesis was to synthesize several pre-N-heterocyclic carbene ligand analogs that are inspired by the push-pull design in an attempt to investigate their susceptibility to Fe(II) complexation.
