  1. 1. When Flying is Inevitable : How international companies and business travelers can contribute to the transformation towards a future of sustainable aviation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Industriell ekonomi och organisation (Inst.)

    Författare :Frida Sjöström; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Carbon Neutral; Business aviation; Sustainable Aviation; Sustainable Strategy; Sustainable Aviation Fuel; Hydrogen; Electric; Switzerland; Technology-Push; DemandPull.; Koldioxidneutralt; affärsflyg; hållbart flyg; hållbar strategi; hållbart flygbränsle; vätgas; elflyg; Schweiz; Technology-Push; Demand-Pull;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis emerged from a question that had been repeating itself in my head for a long period of time: If myself and the rest of the world face the fact that we are likely to keep flying for years to come for reasons somehow considered valid, how can we at the same time still contribute efficiently to achieving a more sustainable future of aviation? Based on this dilemma and focusing on the factor of impact, an actor with the power of creating a larger impact than a single individual was firstly identified. This actor also provides the perspective used in this thesis. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Digital Twins and Sustainability: A Comprehensive Review of Limitations and Opportunities

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Simeon Petrov; [2023-12-04]
    Nyckelord :Digital Twins; Real Twin; Sustainability; Metrics; Indicators; Industry; Manufacturing; Production; Systemic Literature Review;

    Sammanfattning : During the past few years there has been an increasing push to deliver sustainable products and improve production processes to meet the growing demand faced by various types of industries. There is a high importance placed on identifying and defining project, product, and policy goals but sustainability goals within these areas are difficult to define. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Reinforcement learning for EV charging optimization : A holistic perspective for commercial vehicle fleets

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Enzo Alexander Cording; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Deep Reinforcement Learning; EV charging optimization; Artificial Intelligence; Commercial vehicle fleets; Electric vehicles; Deep Reinforcement Learning; optimering av elbilsladdning; artificiell intelligens; kommersiella fordonsflottor; Elektriska fordon;

    Sammanfattning : Recent years have seen an unprecedented uptake in electric vehicles, driven by the global push to reduce carbon emissions. At the same time, intermittent renewables are being deployed increasingly. These developments are putting flexibility measures such as dynamic load management in the spotlight of the energy transition. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Microfluidic flow splitter shape optimization for high throughput

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Författare :Christoffer Papamoustos Palmér; Joel Linder; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Genetic algorithms; Lab-on-a-chip; Optimization; Acoustofluidics; Microfluidics; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Due to an increasing incidence rate, the need for new effective methods for diagnosing cancer are of high importance. Studies have shown that circulating tumor cells, CTCs, have great potential as a diagnostic biomarker. Acoustophoresis is a label free method, capable of separating CTCs from red blood cells in a blood sample. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Efficient FE Modeling of Large Casted Parts

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Maskinkonstruktion

    Författare :Lalitha Swetha Amirapu; Haswanth Yalamanchili; [2023]
    Nyckelord :FE modeling; Large casted parts; Meshing techniques; Mid-surface modeling; FE-modellering; Stora gjutna delar; Meshing-tekniker; Mid-Surface modellering;

    Sammanfattning : The design and analysis of large casted parts present significant challenges due to their complex geometry. Finite Element (FE) modeling is a vital tool for understanding the performance of casted components. However, the computational requirements associated with these parts often lead to excessive processing times and resource utilization. LÄS MER
