2. Techno-Economic Analysis of Dye Separation in Textile Recycling
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresursläraSammanfattning : This study determines the technical and economic feasibility of separating dye from a process filtrate in industrial textile recycling using electrocoagulation or sequences of membrane filtration with microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. The lower requirements for treating this stream, compared to previously researched dyehouse effluents, left treatments not good enough for dyehouses viable for this process filtrate. LÄS MER
4. Impact of Organic Solvent Treatments on Physical and Sensorial Properties of Knitted Fabrics.
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomiSammanfattning : Technologies that facilitate reusing and recycling printed textile products will contribute to achieving a circular textile industry. This project was done in collaboration with Vividye, a company developing a technology to create removable textile prints to be able to extend the lifespan of screen-printed textile products without affecting their quality. 5. Study on Decolorization of Reactive-dyed Cotton through Fenton-oxidation as a Pre-treatment for Textile Recycling
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomiSammanfattning : In this master thesis, the feasibility of Fenton-oxidation for the decolorization of reactive dyed cotton is investigated as a potentially environmental-friendly preparatory treatment for mechanical/chemical recycling. Raw, knitted cotton is dyed with a black and a blue dye, whereafter preliminary tests are performed to investigate the influence of increasing Fenton- solution concentrations and different iron-sources on the efficiency of the discoloration, without carrying out complete optimization of the process-parameters.
