  1. 1. Lika möjligheter till ett livslångt lärande?: en studie av svensklärares förhållningssätt till användningen av skönlitteratur och skolbibliotek

    Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Institutionen Biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap (BHS)

    Författare :Rose-Marie Johansson; Marjaana Lindemann; [2010-03-15]
    Nyckelord :Det livslånga lärandet; skolbibliotek; svensklärare; skolbibliotekarie; skönlitteratur; läslust; läsfrämjande;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study is to examine the view of Swedish language teachers on the role of fiction and of school libraries within the compulsory school’s teaching of Swedish of form 6-9. The questions to be answered are:• What part do Swedish language teachers (hereafter called teachers) think fiction is playing regarding the pupils inclination to read and reading promotion?• What is the attitude of teachers regarding the function of fiction in the Swedish subject?• What do teachers consider being the role of the school library in education, and can this be related to the local school library resources?To answer the questions a questionnaire was sent out to thirty-five teachers. 2. 2. Enhanced Butanol Production by Free and Immobilized Clostridium sp. Cells Using Butyric Acid as Co-Substrate

    Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Ingenjörshögskolan (IH)

    Författare :Laili Gholizadeh; [2010-01-22]
    Nyckelord :Bio-butanol; Acetone–Butanol–Ethanol ABE ; ABE-fermentation; Butyric acid; Clostridium; C. acetobutylicum ATCC 824; C. beijerinckii ATCC 55025; C. beijerinckii BA 101; C. beijerinckii NCIMB 8052; Fibrous-bed Bioreactor FBB ; Batch; Suspended cell culture; Immobilized cell system;

    Sammanfattning : Butanol production by four different Clostridium sp. strains was investigated using glucoseP2-medium supplemented with increasing concentrations of butyric acid, added as cosubstrate.Batch fermentations were carried out in serum bottles (freely-suspended cellcultures) and fibrous-bed bioreactor (FBB) with medium recirculation (immobilized cells). 3. 3. Leaching Test with Sawdust fromDifferent Tree Species : Appropriateness of using them as adsorptionmedia in wastewater and in stormwatertreatment

    Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Kalmar/Naturvetenskapliga institutionen

    Författare :Henric Svensson; [2010]
    Nyckelord :Stormwater;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Bio energy in form of woodchips and sawdust is today commonly stored outdoors in heaps on hardened surfaces, exposed to weather and wind. Any water leaching from these heaps have the potential to be toxic to the environment. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Enumerating Atlantic salmon smolt production in River Vindelälven based on habitat availability and parr densities : consequences of using different density estimation methods

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Författare :Stefan Ågren; [2010]
    Nyckelord :Salmo salar L.; Mapping; Juvenile nursery areas; Electrofishing abundance; Flow correlation; Population model;

    Sammanfattning : Habitat mapping was conducted in the main stem of River Vindelälven in the autumn of 2009 along the salmon distribution area. The aim was to estimate the quantity of potential reproduction areas, including spawning and juvenile rearing habitats. The mapping included 61 km of various stream sections along the river length of 269 km. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Variation in protein precipitation and phenolic content within and among species across an elevational gradient in subarctic Sweden

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Elin Olofsson; [2010]
    Nyckelord :Phenolic compounds; Protein complexation; Elevational gradient; Subarctic; Fertility gradient;

    Sammanfattning : This project investigated how elevation and vegetation type influences variation in plant litter phenolic content and protein precipitation capacity among and within common plant species for two different vegetation types, heath and meadow, in a subarctic ecosystem in the Abisko region of northern Sweden. As nutrient availability generally decreases with increasing elevation as a result of decreasing temperature, I hypothesised that phenolic content would increase with elevation and be higher on the heath than the meadow.
