  1. 1. GPS-Free UAV Geo-Localization Using a Reference 3D Database

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknik

    Författare :Justus Karlsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Deep Learning; Machine Learning; ML; AI; UAV; GPS-Free; CNN; 3D CNN; GCNN; 3D Database; geolocalization; geo-localization; georegistration; Hidden Markov Model; HMM; satellite; satellite database; Batch-Hard; triplet loss; PyTorch Geometric;

    Sammanfattning : The goal of this thesis has been global geolocalization using only visual input and a 3D database for reference. In recent years Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have seen huge success in the task of classifying images. The flattened tensors at the final layers of a CNN can be viewed as vectors describing different input image features. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Autonomous Landing of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle on an Unmanned Ground Vehicle using Model Predictive Control

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknik

    Författare :Emil Boström; Erik Börjesson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Model predictive control; MPC; Unmanned aerial vehicle; UAV; Unmanned ground vehicle; UGV; Path planning; Vehicle dynamics; Autonomous systems; Autonomous landing; Quadcopter; Gazebo; ROS;

    Sammanfattning : The research on autonomous vehicles, and more specifically cooperation between autonomous vehicles, has become a prominent research field during the last cou- ple of decades. One example is the combination of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) together with an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Motion Planning Framework for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Dynamic Environments

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Yufei Zhu; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Motion planning; Dynamic environments; Unmanned aerial vehicle; Banplanering; Dynamiska miljöer; Obemannade luftfarkoster;

    Sammanfattning : The usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to navigate autonomously in a dynamic environment is becoming more common. It is important that a UAV can generate collision-free trajectories and also be able to modify them to adapt to environment changes over the entire duration of navigation. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Deep Feature UAV Localization in Urban Areas and Agricultural Fields and Forests

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Markus Mäkelä; [2021]
    Nyckelord :UAV Localization; Deep Learning; Lucas-Kanade; Absolute Localization; Visual localization; UAV lokalisering; Djupinlärning; Lucas-Kanade; Absolut lokalisering; Visuell lokalisering;

    Sammanfattning : The reliance on GPS for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) localization limits the areas of application to places with a stable GPS signal. The emergence of deep learning in computer vision has made deep learning methods for visual UAV navigation a promising candidate for autonomous GPS denied localization. LÄS MER

  5. 5. UAV Navigation using Local Computational Resources : Keeping a target in sight

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Magnus Cardell; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Unmanned aerial vehicle; Path planning; On-board computation; Autonomy; Obemannade drönare; Vägplanering; Lokala beräkningar; Autonomi;

    Sammanfattning : When tracking a moving target, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) mustkeep the target within its sensory range while simultaneously remaining awareof its surroundings. However, small flight computers must have sufficientenvironmental knowledge and computational capabilities to provide real-timecontrol to function without a ground station connection. LÄS MER
