  1. 1. Exogena östrogeners påverkan på fisk

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health

    Författare :Angelica Johansson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :östrogen; fisk; vitellogenin; beteende; intersex;

    Sammanfattning : Fiskars proteiner är snarlika människans vilket gör att de i många fall kan påverkas av samma ämnen som oss. Hormonpreparat, naturliga östrogener och östrogena nedbrytningsprodukter passerar genom reningsverken och hamnar slutligen i vattenmiljön där fiskar exponeras för ämnena. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Effects of early life exposure to flutamide on sexual development in Xenopus tropicalis

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning; Uppsala universitet/Miljötoxikologi

    Författare :Christopher Hampton; [2019]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : While endocrine disrupting chemicals have become a serious concern in human and environmental toxicology, many of the methods used for investigating developmental toxicity require long exposure periods, and thus can be technically challenging, labour intensive and expensive. For example, the current standard method, the Larval Amphibian Growth and Development Assay (LAGDA) has an exposure period of ³130 days. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Riskanalys: Faror och risker med p-piller bestående av Ethinylestradiol (EE2) och Estradiol (E2) i Helge å

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildning

    Författare :Carolina Grandin; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Risk; p-piller; EE2; E2; Helge å; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : During the 90’s intersex individuals was found among fish downstream sewage treatment plants, this was found to be due to estrogens in the water. Today we know that one of the largest contributors of the effects on fish is 17a-ethinylestradiol (EE2). LÄS MER

  4. 4. Effects of Ethinylestradiol, EE2, exposure on Poecilia reticulta male specific genes, DMRT1 and CYP11b

    Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för livsvetenskaper

    Författare :Natalia Isabel Moran Lopez; [2011]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) found in every day product, can either be natural or man-made and usually exists in a concerning concentration in our aquatic environment which in turn could affect teleost reproduction. EDCs exposure in fishes may result in changes in their reproductive physiology and morphology resulting in for example induction in gonopodia in female fish when exposed to androgens and in males exposed to female estrogen a reduced sperm count and skewed sex ration. 5. 5. The toxicological evaluation of Sewage Effluents and Pharmaceuticals with the use of Zebrafish as a model organism

    L3-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health

    Författare :Motunrayo Ganiyat Akande; [2008]
    Nyckelord :Zebrafish; Danio rerio; pharmaceuticals; reproduction test; fish sexual ; development test; fish embryo toxicity test; vitellogenin;

    Sammanfattning : The presence of pharmaceuticals in the environment has been an issue of increasing concern and sewage treatment plants have been identified as the principal sources ofpharmaceuticals and endocrine disrupting chemicals in the aquatic environment.In this study, zebrafish juveniles and adults were exposed to sewage effluents that had undergone treatment processes (A1-A7) at Hammarby Sjostad’s sewage treatment plant in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment processes.
