Svårigheter med att lämna ett våldsutsatt förhållande - En textanalys av sex självbiografier

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this essay was to illustrate and create an understanding for the factors that can contribute to the difficulties for women to leave a violent relationship. The study was based on a text analysis of autobiographies. The study was further more an investigation on how the women in the autobiographies describe a normalization of the violence and in connection to the factors that contributed to the breakup of the relationship. The result and analysis of our study showed different kinds of fears and also how fear can cause other feelings that affect the women in their situation and the breakup process. We could also see how the processes of normalization occurred in relation to the different feelings that the women described that they had experienced. The most important conclusion of the study was how important it is to have knowledge about the phenomena of domestic violence in social work, to be able to see and assist the violence exposed women with the help that they needs.
