Sammanfattning: The MIST satellite is a 3U CubeSat being developed at KTH, with a largepart of the work being carried out by student teams. In this thesis methodsfor testing the MIST satellite are proposed and some of the methods are implementedand evaluated. Two pieces of testing hardware are implementedand evaluated. One of these is an experiment simulator that emulates theelectrical load of an experiment subsystem. The second hardware unit is asun sensor simulator that can feed the satellite artificial illumination data bysimulating the current output of the satellite’s sun sensors. A method forcreating automated test and checkout procedures in a distributed testing environmentusing modern web-development tools is proposed. This methodis demonstrated by showing how it can be used to verify the operation of theexperiment simulators.
