Förloppslandskap : ett sätt att betrakta landskap

Sammanfattning: Begreppet landskap kan betyda både utsiktslandskap, så som det används på engelska , och område, region, som är grundbetydelsen i de germanska språken. Torsten Hägerstrand introducerade i början på 1990-talet begreppet förloppslandskap, som vänder sig mot ett statiskt betraktande av landskap och istället tar fasta på landskapets processer. Målet med denna litteraturstudie är att presentera en översikt av förloppslandskapets idéer. Syftet är att med detta som bakgrund föra en diskussion kring förloppslandskapets relevans i dagens planeringssituation. Europeiska landskapskonventionen företräder en landskapssyn där samspelet mellan natur och samhälle betonas, men till skillnad från förloppslandskapet så är fokus inställt på människans upplevelse. Med förloppslandskapet och Europeiska landskapskonventionen som bakgrund diskuteras hur vi som landskapsarkitekter kan förhålla oss till begreppet landskap. The meaning of landscape can be understood as scenery, as in the English-speaking world, or as an area, as in the Germanic languages. In the beginning of the 1990’s Torsten Hägerstrand introduced the concept of the procedural landscape, which emphasizes the dynamic processes of the landscape instead of viewing the landscape as a static and unchanging object. The purpose of this literature study is to present an overview of the concept of the procedural landscape. Using this background as a starting point, this paper aims to discuss the relevance of the procedural landscape in the context of contemporary landscape planning. The European Landscape Convention represents a point of view where the action and interaction between human and nature is emphasized. In contrast to the procedural landscape point of view, focus is put on the human experience of the landscape. With the procedural landscape as background, this paper discusses how we as landscape architects can relate to the concept of landscape.
