Sammanfattning: The purpose of this paper is to find out the staff's feelings and emotions in a HVBaccommodation where they work with unaccompanied refugee children. A HVBaccommodation is an institution that refugee asylum seekers come to in the beginning of their refugee process. To shed some light on this issue, a hermeneutic perspective has been used in the methodological approach of the work. The material gathered through interviews is collected from six supervisors at the selected accommodation in southern Sweden. The material based on the interviews is grounded in the supervisors' experiences, emotions and feelings. Our result has been used as a foundation for the analysis of feelings and emotions based on three theoretical approaches: The total Department of Goffman (1973), socialization and the significant other Mead (1934), and the relationships and emotions at work Hochschild (1983). The results from the interviews show that the staff perceive emotions in different ways. The people who commute to and from work has a bigger and better processing ability than those living close to work. The result also shows that communication is difficult in some cases, when the newly arrived refugee children come to the accommodation. Newly arrived refugees may not know the Swedish language, which makes it difficult for the staff to communicate with them in the early stages. Therefore the staff must embrace symbols, gestures and charades to make sure that the staff and the children understand each other.
