Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Hållbar vardag och hälsa i ett livsperspektiv

Sammanfattning: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a disease that can affect daily life in many ways. The symptoms that the disease may cause are arthritis, pain and fatigue. It has been shown in previous studies that leisure activities among persons with RA are affected. The purpose of this study was to investigate the activities of daily living during one day in people with RA with a special focus on leisure activities. The data collection was done by Tomorrow Diary and interviews with eight people. The results showed that the investigation group spent the most of their waking hours doing self-care and leisure activities. It was also shown that the majority chose to put their spare time, when all necessary work was done, in recreational activities instead of play activities. The study also showed that there were several activities that the investigation group had difficulty or was not able to do. Many of these activities were leisure activities. There is still need of more research in this area.
