Sammanfattning: The purpose of this literature study was to identify factors that enable or prevent people with fatigue syndrome to engage in everyday activities. To answer the study's purpose, nine blogs written by people with fatigue syndrome were reviewed. To analyze data, a qualitative content analysis was used that resulted in three categories: Factors enabling engagement in activity, Factors that prevent engagement in activity and Rehabilitation factors that enable and prevent engagement. Results showed that the big change a person with fatigue syndrome has to do is find new strategies to break the pathogenesis. Furthermore, it was found that there was a major mistrust of government and health care. An important part of the rehabilitation mentioned in the blogs is to go out into nature, which proved to have a calming effect. A certain difference between men and women with fatigue syndrome could be seen. Even an increased suicidal risk existed. Change and new strategies are two words that have proven to be important for people suffering from fatigue syndrome to achieve a change. There, the skills of occupational therapists can benefit greatly when it comes to enabling involvement in activity.
