Detta är en Magister-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Rättssociologiska institutionen

Sammanfattning: This is a qualitative, discourse analysis of police interviews with children who have been assaulted by a related. The aim with the study was to investigate how the interviews are conducted by the children investigators within the Police. I examine which kind of norms the investigator act from and that can be identified in the interviews. I also examine if there are any differences between the interviews depended by the children’s age. The theories which have been used in the study are the following ones: Durkheim’s theory of social institutions, NICHD’s interviewing guide, “Åklagarmyndighetens handbok”, social control and memory functions of children. 8 interviews with children in ages from 3 to 14 have been analysed with discourse analysis. The result indicates similarities on the methods of the interviews and that there exists a norm of how children’s interviews should be conducted. Any clear differences on the interviewing methods by the children investigators can not be identified but the responses and stories are more detailed in ages 12 and 14.
