Sammanfattning: Background and problem: Digitization has gone through an enormous revolution since the first digitized device was invented. Usage of internet has increased and by every day many more people turn to usage of digitized services in banking. This has led to a new demand for more innovative solutions to payments. Research question: Which variables determine if Swedish consumers will accept mobile payment solutions such as Swish instead of traditional and already highly used methods? How does risk affect the usage of mobile payment solutions? Purpose: To strengthen an insufficient research field in mobile payment solutions and determine which variables will be needed for consumers to accept new solutions. Method: This paper is based on a quantitative study, where the author collected primary data by a survey. The usage of secondary data is also included in the paper. Conclusion: The study has concluded that people in Sweden have a very high level of acceptance when it comes to certain factors such as expected performance, expected effort and also that trust and risk play a crucial role in accepting payment solutions that are mobile. People in Sweden are already very familiar with techniques involving mobile payments, giving them an advantage of faster and easier learning process, thus making it easier for them to accept a certain change.
