Sammanfattning: Background: The workplace is of major importance to the health and well-being of workers and also to public health. Therefore, it is important to increase knowledge about healthy workplaces, which are not so well researched.Purpose: To investigate how healthy workplaces can be created.Method: A systematic literature search was made in two databases and 555 studies were found, of which 13 studies were selected based on purpose and selection criteria. A quality and evidence examining was performed with the chosen studies. Qualitative content analysis was used as the method of analysis which gave five themes.Results: Organizational structures that promote health, a good work environment, engaging leaders, a good work climate and a healthy lifestyle were work-related factors that can create healthy workplaces.Conclusion: Many different work-related factors are likely to play a role in healthy workplaces. The benefits of creating such a workplace is an increased work attendance which is positive for both public health and the workplace. However, more research is needed in this field, and not least with a focus on gender.
