Sammanfattning: The relationship between child and labour is an old one. It tracks back to a time when children were not even considered to be citizens and their rights, and certainly not their labour rights, were not at all reflected upon. From this state the relationship has evolved and today a number of conventions exist on the subject, regulating the connection. The norms that were set by the first conventions have since affected the general way child labour is viewed upon. This becomes apparent in the corporation’s positions on the matter. Corporate social responsibility is an important feature for companies today and with it goes the regulation of child labour. The purpose of this thesis is to look at the regulation of the relationship between child and labour. What is it and has it changed with time? An important theory while looking at this issue is that the connection is originated from a westernized point of view. As the conventions and corporations are among the most influential on the matter of child labour today, this thesis will take a closer look at the relationship between child and labour by looking at their positions on the matter.
