Detta är en Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå från Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för lärande och samhälle (LS)

Sammanfattning: This study has its starting point in the revised syllabus for the subject of Swedish and documents that have been revised with the focus on digitization. The aim is to increase understanding of the role of digitization in the Swedish subject. The questions in the study focus on differences and similarities in the revised and previous syllabus, the teachers' approaches to digitization and whether and how the revised syllabus has been implemented in their profession and education. The study is based on two different theoretical perspectives; the sociocultural perspective and connectivism. The sociocultural perspective permeates the design of the syllabus as well as teacher’s approach and how they conduct their teaching. Connectivism has its focus on the digital parts and how the knowledge process can take place in a learning from a network perspective. This approach helps us to analyze and interpret the changes that occurs in the syllabus for Swedish and the respondents’ answers in the qualitative interviews that have been conducted. The study contains a document study of the revised syllabus and four qualitative interviews. The result of the document study shows that Skolverket has clarified the syllabus by adding and revising the content towards a digitized direction. The result of the interviews shows that a majority of the respondents are positive to the revision even if there are certain issues. All of the respondents feel well prepared in the work on the revised syllabus and have already implemented a selection of digital tools and media in the teaching. The respondents show an interest in digitized education and the revisions have provided clearer guidelines for their work on this.
