ARBETSLÖSHETENS PÅVERKAN PÅ SOCIAL EXKLUDERING : EN JÄMFÖRANDE STUDIE MELLAN OLIKA VÄLFÄRDSYSTEM OCH ÅLDERSGRUPPER I EUROPA

Sammanfattning: This research is about unemployment and how it effects on three dimensions of social exclusion: health, income deprivation and political activity. The aim is to investigate how age and welfare systems interact with unemployment’s impact on social exclusion. The analysis method used in this research paper is multilevel modelling. The analyze method gave the possibility to study the impacts of unemployment on social exclusion both from an individual and a context level. The results shows that unemployment does have an impact on all the three chosen dimensions of social exclusion. In addition, unemployment effects most people in countries which are characterized by the liberal welfare systems and east European welfares. At age level, unemployment has a larger impact on older individuals than the younger ones.
