Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study was to examine unaccompanied children experience of their integration in society. 2015, 35 369 refugees arrived to Sweden which have created a debate about the subject. The refugee wave created a need of effective receiving and integration. This study aimed to give the unaccompanied children a voice and increase the knowledge of their view of integration. This study evaluate the question: How do unaccompanied children experience their opportunity to integration in society? Qualitative methods were used to achieve the studies purpose and answer the research question. With help of semi-structured interviews which focused on language, school and culture, interviewees were given the opportunity to put words on their experience of integration. The interviews showed that the participants in this study had difficulty in establishing contacts and experience lack of opportunity for natural meeting with Swedes. Many of the interviewees were disappointed in the authorities because they had been replaced several times in short period of times. The result was analyzed with the concept social identity, social capital and inclusion/exclusion. A conclusion of this study is that unaccompanied children are in need of stability to find the will to integrate and have trust in their future.
