Sammanfattning: This paper discusses how productivity can be measured in an e-commerce context. Most productivity research in the past has been from a brick and mortar perspective, and has taken resources such as store space, capital and work hours in to consideration. Through qualitative interviews, this paper examines what critical resources are appropriate to account for as input, and what can be considered output. Inspired by the strategic resource management model, a new framework is developed for e-commerce. In addition to a new framework for measuring productivity, the discussion on critical resources and output in an e-commerce organization gives insight into how e-commerce business are managed.
